1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you" or "User") and Transcriptok ("we," "us," or "our"), governing your access to and use of https://www.transcriptok.app/ (the "Site") and our transcription service (the "Service"). By using the Site or the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Services Description

Transcriptok turns the speech in public TikTok videos, and in video and audio files you upload, into timestamped transcripts that you can view, play back, copy, and export as SRT, VTT, or TXT. Some features, such as file uploads and speaker identification, are available to subscribers only.

3. Accounts

You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your Google account secure.

4. Your Content and Obligations

• You must only submit content that you own or have the right to transcribe, and use transcripts in line with copyright law and the rights of the original creators.
• You must comply with TikTok's terms and all applicable laws when using the Service.
• You agree not to misuse the Service, including automated or bulk access, attempts to bypass usage limits, or uploading unlawful content.

You keep all rights to the content you submit and the transcripts generated from it. You grant us only the permissions needed to process, store, and show them to you in order to provide the Service.

5. Free Plan, Subscriptions and Credits

• Signed-in users without a subscription can transcribe a limited number of public TikTok links for free, as shown on the pricing page.
• Paid plans renew automatically each month or year until cancelled. Each plan includes a monthly allowance of credits; 1 credit covers 1 minute of audio, and any started minute counts as a full one.
• Credits reset at the start of each billing month and unused credits do not roll over. Yearly plans are billed once per year and credits are still granted monthly.
• If a transcription fails, the credits used for it are returned to your balance.

6. Payment and Refunds

You will be charged the fees displayed at purchase. Payments are processed by our payment provider, which acts as the merchant of record; accepted payment methods are shown at checkout. Fees are non-refundable unless otherwise required by UK consumer protection law.

7. Cancellation and Termination

You can cancel your subscription at any time from Settings. You keep access and your remaining credits until the end of the current billing period, and you will not be charged again. You can also ask us to close your account at any time by contacting us.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms.

8. Intellectual Property

All rights to the Site and the Service, including software, branding, designs, and materials, are owned by us. You may use the Service only for its intended personal or business purposes, and may not copy, modify, distribute, or resell any part of it without our consent.

9. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." Transcripts are generated automatically and may contain errors; please review them before relying on them. We do not guarantee that any particular TikTok video can be fetched. To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Users will be notified by email of any material changes, and the updated Terms will show the revised date.
